Internship Opportunity



 

Dr. Diann Prosser at the USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center is seeking 2-3 highly motivated students to work as interns on a project to monitor the reproductive success of local tern species. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience with capture, banding, and other field techniques. 

Interested applicants must be:

· Able to commit to a fulltime working schedule from approximately mid May through early August (happy to accommodate semester end dates)

· Committed to working long hours in adverse weather conditions

· Eager to learn and adapt to unique challenges of field work

· Willing and able to handle wild animals

· Able to work well in a team setting

A $2,500 stipend will be provided for this position
