Farmer Preferences for Nitrogen-Management Technologies: Aligning Ag Retail Services with Producer Demand
This internship will investigate farmers’ "demand signal" for nitrogen-management services from agricultural retailers. The selected student will assess research gaps related to farmer needs, preferences, and economic drivers associated with nitrogen management support from ag retail. Anticipated activities include literature synthesis, analysis of farm economic data, and stakeholder interviews. Preferred timing: May-July or June-August 2026, flexible. Location: Remote.

Statement of interest (1 page), including your earliest possible start date
Letter of support from the graduate student’s academic advisor (<1 page)
OR
Eligibility confirmation. Provide a brief statement signed by both the student and their academic advisor confirming that the applicant:Is currently enrolled as a Masters or PhD student affiliated with a NICCEE partner university
Has discussed the internship requirements with their academic advisor
Will remain enrolled in their home graduate program for the duration of the internship
Graduate students (Master’s or PhD) affiliated with a NICCEE partner university (e.g., UMCES, NYU, UMass Amherst, University of Guelph, University of Saskatchewan, University of Manitoba, McGill University, UM6P, others) are eligible.
