American woodcock nesting technician
The University of Rhode Island is seeking a highly motivated research technician to assist on a PhD project investigating spatial movements and habitat use of American woodcock in Rhode Island state management areas. Primary duties will include searching for nests and broods using pointing dogs, banding adults and broods, attaching radio-telemetry packages, tracking, and data entry. Technician will work 40 hours/week, but schedule will be very irregular at times. The position will run from 15 March-15 June 2022. Housing will be located in Kingston, RI and utilities will cost ca. $75/month.
