The Agroecology Lab at the University of Maryland is seeking a data analysis intern for the Fall semester for a project focusing on dietary diversity and urban agriculture. We are interested in understanding how urban farms might be able to help meet micronutrient gaps among people receiving food assistance in Washington DC. The intern will be responsible for cleaning and analyzing harvest data collected from an urban farm over the last 5 years and creating micronutrient profiles for each crop type.
Necessary skills:
- Interest in farming, nutrition, and food systems
- Extensive experience working with data in Excel
- Experience with R or Python
- Attention to detail
