Paul Sprowl | The Zeller Summer Scholarship in Medicinal Botany   Paul Sprowl, 2024 Zeller Scholar, conducted research at the Quave Research Group, focusing on the medicinal properties of the American Beautyberry and its potential to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Research involved utilizing various extraction techniques and performing partitioning to isolate bioactive compounds from the plant material. Sprowl’s research was funded by The Garden Club of America Zeller Summer Scholarship in Medicinal Botany.
