Spots open for #MusselPower Volunteer Events on Monday, October 18
We are seeking volunteers to help us with release mussels and help us with a mussel survey! Both events involve walking in mud and water while wearing waders, and AWS can provide them to you if you don't have your own. Learn more and register below.
Freshwater Mussel Tagging & Release at Langston, 9am-Noon
Volunteers will help AWS to tag freshwater mussels and release them by wading into the Anacostia River by Langston Golf Course!
Freshwater Mussel Survey at Heritage Marsh, 1pm-4pm
Volunteers will help AWS survey the freshwater mussels at Heritage Marsh.
