SustainableUMD Opportunities, Events, & Updates 🐢

Celebrating 100 years of Black History Month

February is Black History Month (BHM), and this year, UMD commemorates the 100th anniversary of BHM in the United States under the theme "A Century of Black Commemorations”. Throughout the month, the university will host a wide range of events honoring Black life, history, and culture, supported by the Office of Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy (MICA).

Engage through leadership and community by registering for the SSLC Leadership Summit or participating in the annual Read-a-thon. Building a sustainable future requires advancing social equity, addressing environmental justice challenges, and uplifting the voices of historically marginalized communities.
