As food safety regulations roll out, farms are starting to implement new practices and procedures. What are the sustainability implications of these changes? Dr. Micallef is UMD’s resident expert on the microbiological safety of fresh produce and is also involved in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) training evaluation in Maryland, assessing the effectiveness of training in driving GAPs implementation on farms.
