South African Student Internship

We are looking for a student who is willing to travel to South Africa to work on issues related to lead poisoning of African vultures. The internship will be with Birdlife South Africa in Johannesburg. You will be paired with another intern from the University of Houston who is working on risks to humans from lead in game meat. Daily work will entail gathering data, some lab work at the University of Pretoria, and may include short field excursions with the Director of Conservation for Birdlife. The internship would be from June-mid August. A stipend of $2500, round trip airfare to South Africa, and housing would be provided.
