On Campus Internship

I am looking for a undergraduate to perform an internship in my lap with food waste digestion. This exciting project is turning our campus food waste into renewable energy.
The food waste digester project is paid for by sustainability grant from the University of Maryland. The grant does not allow payment of students for their work. This would be an unpaid internship, but could be used to fulfill your ENST internship requirement. The student will travel to and from upper Marlboro, where her food waste digester located at the TerpFarm and load the digester and take laboratory measurements of solids, biogas, and nutrients coming from the digester. The student will need a valid driver's license and be able to drive to and from Upper Marlboro three days a week to perform the analysis as well as work in the laboratory of Dr Lansing in ENST and Dr Hutcheson in Microbiology to perform the lab and microbial work on the project.
