Urban Conservation and Education Internship

The Urban Conservation and Education Internship is a work-study program in partnership with the National Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Living Classrooms Foundation and the Maryland Port Administration. This internship not only promotes career development and connects those interested to career opportunities within the conservation sector, but it also helps foster a sense of environmental stewardship. Interns will learn about the importance of conservation throughout the Chesapeake Bay region by working with staff from the National Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Living Classrooms Foundation and the Maryland Port Administration. Over the course of the program, interns will participate in habitat restoration projects, assist in the monitoring of wildlife populations and engage diverse audiences in hands-on environmental education programs. Students selected for the internship will receive a stipend. This eight-week internship will take place from June 5 to July 28, 2017.
