USDA Post Doc

I currently have funding to support a USDA post doc to assist me in analyzing a large quantity of transcriptomics data designed to help us understand how crops respond to weeds. I am looking for candidates who have some experience with basic bioinformatics techniques with reasonable programing experience in R and Python. A big plus would be candidates who have some statistical modeling or experience with AI and machine learning or a strong willingness to learn how to bring to bear these new techniques for functional analyses of transcriptome data. As a USDA post-doc, the pay is pretty solid ($64,649 - $84,049 per year). Fargo is also a pretty great place to live with very low crime rates, good neighborhood schools, and excellent access to top notch healthcare with two large competing hospitals. Additionally, there is a good likelihood that the position could lead to a permanent position at our research center since there are several expected retirements, and post docs with good skills in bioinformatics would be well placed to compete for these openings. Thus, if you would please share the below link with any qualified candidates who are either near the end of their first post-doc (less than 4 years out of their PhD) or who are expected to graduate with a PhD this spring, I would greatly appreciate it.
