National Audubon Society- Climate Science Coordinator

This is a more entry level science position (Bachelor’s degree in climate science, environmental studies, ecology, biology, ornithology, spatial ecology, conservation, environmentaland/or climate justice, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years professional GIS or applied science experience . An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.)

This position is also remote anywhere in the US with the potential to be in an Audubon office.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Climate Science, the Climate Science Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Audubon’s science team with regional, national, and hemispheric bird conservation initiatives.

The Climate Science Coordinator will support technical analyses and the application of skills in data management, spatial data analysis, geo processing, landscape analysis, climate science, ornithology, and map design; assembling relevant datasets; and generating spatial and quantitative data products. The Coordinator will also support the process of publishing Audubon science work including, but not limited to, peer-reviewed articles and reports. This will include participating in cross-functional teams, particularly with the spatial and quantitative science teams and across the broader Conservation Division within which science is located.
