PhD position in urban forestry/ecology

Call for students PhD position in urban forestry/ecology As a new professor in Urban and Community Forestry in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Connecticut, I want to recruit a PhD student for either spring or fall 2023. Funding is available for two topics: socio-ecological dynamics of urban ecosystem services in Latinx/Hispanic communities or patterns from urban tree traits in marginalized communities. Research project might include fieldwork, lab analysis, surveys or focus group, and modeling. Additional opportunities for MA students might be available upon request. Other topics to develop might include urban forest species under climate change, governance of urban forests and urban landscapes of Latin American cities.
