Join us this January in Aguadilla Puerto Rico for the next installment of the ASABE Soil Erosion Research Symposium.
The week is loaded with great program content plus a full-day field tour. Sunday evening, January 8, will begin the week-long symposium with a relaxed welcome reception at our beautiful host hotel, the Punta Borinquen Resort.
Preliminary program details
Monday Opening session with keynote speaker Dr. Jane Willenbring, Stanford University. Morning and afternoon concurrent sessions, includes lunch.
Tuesday Full-day field tour of key erosion and water quality sites in western Puerto Rico. Transportation and lunch included.
Wednesday Full-day program at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez with keynote speaker Dr. Rafael Bras, Georgia Tech. Includes transportation and lunch.
Thursday Concurrent sessions including keynote speaker Dr. Robert Stallard, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Lunch and dinner are included.
Friday Dr. Grizelle Gonzalez, USDA-Forest Service speaks followed by concurrent sessions and the closing ceremony. Lunch is included and program content is expected to conclude by 2 pm local time.
Program details are subject to change and will be updated as they are confirmed on the meeting website. Aguadilla is in the Atlantic time zone. The nearest airport to the hotel is Rafael Hernandez International Airport (BQN).
