Position Summary
Colby-Sawyer College is looking for an innovative and engaging full-time, tenure-track colleague to join the Environmental Science and Studies program in the School of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will have broad-based experience to support instruction in geographic information systems, environmental science, biogeochemistry, community-based research, and field studies with expertise in any number of environmental science fields relevant for today’s pre-professional training for our majors. One of the hallmarks of our program is a year-long community research project where our students act as environmental consultants to help address an environmental problem in the area. Colby-Sawyer College is ideally located to engage students in our surrounding landscape. Candidates will have the opportunity to mentor undergraduate research projects and contribute to the college's Liberal Education curriculum.

This is a full-time, tenure-track position. A doctoral degree is required, and candidates completing a doctoral degree within one year of hire will be considered. Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level and a philosophy of education consonant with Colby-Sawyer’s programs and mission are required. This position includes teaching, advising and service responsibilities at the program and college level. The position is available beginning late August 2023.
