District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment Fish & Wildlife Biologist Grade 11 Applications due August 13, 2023 This Fish & Wildlife Biologist position is located in the Natural Resources Administration, Fisheries and Wildlife Division, and will serve as the State Wildlife Action Plan Coordinator. The incumbent will lead revisions of the District of Columbia State Wildlife Action Plan and support developing, tracking, and reporting various fish, wildlife, and habitat metrics and conservation actions at local, national, and international levels. The incumbent will utilize knowledge of wildlife and fisheries biology and ecology and conduct professional, scientific, or research work that involves preserving, conserving, propagating, protecting, and managing wildlife, fish, and other aquatic species populations and their habitats for ecological purposes and to benefit the public. The incumbent will collaborate within the Fisheries and Wildlife Division and DOEE, and with other District agencies, the federal government, business groups, non-profit organizations, and members of the public to design and execute fish and wildlife research and management projects and write and review fish and wildlife program publications.
