Job Opportunity at APLU and Summer Internships at American Farm Bureau

Job Opportunity for Early Career Employee in APLU Office of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) is seeking an associate to provide logistical and administrative support to the Academic Programs Section of the Board on Agriculture Assembly. The incumbent will perform a broad array of administrative tasks to ensure effective office operations, including planning conferences, webinars, and meetings; managing on- and off-site meeting logistics; scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars; and overseeing the payment of invoices. Successful candidates will have strong meeting coordination, event planning, and administrative support skills, a facility with Excel and data, and possess a keen attention to detail. This individual will work with me daily to provide support to the Academic Programs Section, so an interest in higher education and agriculture, natural resources, or related fields is a plus.

If you know of a recent graduate or an alumni early in their career looking to move to the Washington, DC region, please send them this announcement. Priority will be given to applications received by Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Please see the job announcement for more information.

Farm Bureau Internships

American Farm Bureau will be hosting several (paid!) summer internship opportunities this next year that would be perfect for students interested in agriculture.

The summer internships will last for 8-10 weeks between late-May and mid-August, depending on school schedules. Interns are supervised by an Intern Coordinator in their assigned department. Here is the link to the announcement.

The application deadline is January 15th and candidates will be notified by March 1st.
