I am hiring a long term, contractual technician to assist with the implementation of mussel surveys, population monitoring, and habitat assessment. The job will also include some seasonal propagation duties with the Department’s Freshwater Fisheries and Hatcheries Division in our mobile lab. The position is currently funded for three years and has the potential to be converted to permanent. Field work will take place state-wide and non-field work is a mix of work at home and office / hatchery. It is a great opportunity for someone looking for additional experience before grad school.
Please share this link with appropriate candidates and colleagues. I am happy to answer any specific questions about the position. The recruitment closes on 1/1/2023. While it says "contract start date in January" that is 1) not feasible given the time it took HR to post the job and 2) somewhat flexible.Matt Ashton
