Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a valid class C driver’s license. Applicants must have some college-level coursework in ecology, wildlife biology, or a related field. Applicants should be in good physical condition and be able to work at night and in hot, humid field conditions where encounters with snakes, alligators, biting insects, etc. are possible. Applicants should be comfortable performing data entry and other computer-based work.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to individuals that have current rabies pre-exposure prophylaxis, have experience with bat mist netting, bat identification techniques, Anabat detectors and bat call identification. Some experience using a GPS is also preferred.
Duration: Mid-May through fall, flexible depending on availability (limited term of 6-months)
Salary: $11.90 per hour; usually working 30-40 hrs/week
