Full Year Paid Internship/Job - Patuxent Wildlife Research Center

This year Dr. Diann Prosser at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center is one of the many potential Host sites for the 2020-21 Chesapeake Conservation Corps service year which runs from August 2020 – August 2021. If successfully matched with Dr. Prosser’s lab, you would be involved in all aspects of this teams ongoing research including: monitoring the reproductive success of local waterbird species, examining novel survey methods for breeding waterbirds, investigating avian influenza transmission across the wild waterfowl – domestic poultry interface, and many other ongoing efforts.

If paired with Dr. Prosser’s lab you will gain valuable experience both with a wide variety of research techniques as well as how to manage and analyze data in a scientific lab. Additionally, as part of the Chesapeake Conservation Corps program, you will participate in several professional development activities.
