Sustainable Food Systems Lecture Series

Sustainable Food Systems Lecture Series Launches Tuesday Feb. 25th

We are thrilled to invite you to the Spring 2020 Sustainable Food Systems Lecture Series! This carefully curated schedule of events is solely dedicated to topics related to sustainability and the role of agriculture in environmental, social, and economic issues, with a heavy emphasis on the food we consume in our everyday lives. This series is part of our strategic initiative, Establish a Healthy Food System and Ensure Global Food and Nutritional Security, and is a continuation of the Sustainable Agriculture Tuesdays series.

All events are free and hosted in #0408 in UMD's Animal and Avian Sciences Building, but you can also attend remotely via WebEx. For more details and to register, visit agnr.umd.edu/sustainable-food-systems-lecture-series.

The kickoff lecture features Beth Brewster, Supervisor of Food Service at Caroline County Public Schools, discussing The Chesapeake Food Connection: From Farm to Tray in Caroline County Public Schools.
