The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (MCDEP) located in Rockville, Maryland is currently seeking unpaid summer interns and volunteers for our stream monitoring program. The purpose of this opportunity is to train and educate students, so they are better prepared to enter the workforce in environmental and biological fields. Approximately 80% of the student's time will be helping field crews conduct fish surveys via electrofishing. MCDEP will strive to create an opportunity that will provide students with pertinent information they can apply throughout their academic career and practical experiences to assist them in their career pursuits.
