You're Invited! "Plastic People" Film Screening + Sustainability Panel – Oct 22

 This is the SGA's Sustainability Committee and Sustainable Ocean Alliance, and we are excited to invite you to a special event co-hosted with the Sierra Club, the first environmental organization in the United States.

Film Screening: Plastic People – The Hidden Crisis of Microplastics
Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM (Doors open 6:30 PM)
Location: Hoff Theatre, STAMP Student Union

Following the film, we will host a Panel of Hope featuring local leaders and sustainability advocates who are making a meaningful impact in our community. Panelists include:

  • Delegate Mary Lehman – Maryland House of Delegates

  • Lisa Alexander – Terp to Terp ReUse Store

  • Sally DeLeon – Office of Sustainability

  • Donnie Lewis – r.World Reuse

The panel will discuss the work they are doing locally and offer practical ways we can all engage in more sustainable practices.

We ask that you share this event with your organization’s leadership, members, and broader network. A flyer is attached, which includes a QR code for registration.
