ADS (Accessibility & Disability Service) Accommodations

The University of Maryland provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals.
To receive reasonable accommodations, an individual must initiate a contact with the Accessibility and Disability Service to schedule an in-person registration interview. Please contact our office at (301) 314-7682 to schedule an appointment with a ADS counselor.

Important Information About Your Accommodations Letter
ADS will ensure that the student is aware of the following information relevant to sharing the accommodations letter with course instructors.
  1. Accommodation letters are only valid for the semester listed at the top of the letter.
  2. It is the student’s responsibility to download accommodation letters to share with all course instructors. Download the Accommodation Letter Procedure (.pdf) for more information.
  3. Students must meet with instructors during their office hours or schedule an alternate meeting time with them to discuss their accommodations including, when necessary, with teaching assistants.
