Emerging Contaminants Intern

Are you a junior or senior trying to fulfill your internship requirement?  You may find this internship interesting then.

This is a potential internship for ENST students.  It says the "ideal candidate" has already finished their bachelor's, however it can be done part-time, and could be based in this firm's Annapolis office, which is doable for a junior or a senior who has access to reliable transportation and has a light course load that semester. In other words, don't miss out on applying even though it says that they prefer their candidate has finished their bachelor's.

Integral Consulting Inc. is searching for an Emerging Contaminants Intern for their Annapolis, MD office.  Beginning as soon as practicable for a qualified candidate, the intern position is a commitment of 20 to 40 hours/week for 6-12 months.   It is important to note that this position can be done part time, so it can be done if you have not yet graduated and are still taking classes.

This position will support ongoing initiatives of Integral’s Toxicology practice in the field of emerging contaminants.  Project tasks include tracking and reporting on emerging contaminant regulatory actions in key states and federal agencies; conducting phone interviews with key staff at these agencies; assisting with preparing fact sheets tailored to specific emerging contaminant topics; assisting with monthly newsletter on developments in perfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) science and policy; and general research support for presentations and project work.

As is the nature of consulting, job duties are likely to evolve with the position and we will provide the right candidate opportunities to learn and grow both intellectually and professionally. The selected candidate will receive mentorship and training from multiple staff both in-person and from remote office locations.

The selected candidate must be highly motivated, effective at working independently, possess superior written and oral communication skills, and have attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a professional demeanor. Strong knowledge of MS Office is required.
