Winter Term Class: Workplace Spanish Communication

It's never too late to learn a new language, and it's definitely always a good idea to brush up on a language spoken in your field of work!

This winter, UMD is offering a Spanish Communication course through the Institute of Applied Agriculture.

This 3-credit course  is designed to benefit native English speakers who plan to work in golf course management, farming, landscaping, and/or other agriculture-based industry jobs where it is beneficial to understand workplace Spanish.

The course will be led by Israel Orellana, a bilingual green industry professional who currently works with the USDA's Agricultural Research Service (ARC). The course is activity-based and will provide participants with opportunities to hone their Spanish speaking skills.
