National Aquarium: 2018 Urban Conservation & Education Internship Program

The Urban Conservation & Education Internship is a work-study program in partnership with the National Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Living Classrooms Foundation and the Maryland Port Administration. This internship not only promotes career development and connects those interested to career opportunities within the conservation sector, but it also helps foster a sense of environmental stewardship.
Interns will learn about the importance of conservation throughout the Chesapeake Bay region by working with staff from the National Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Living Classrooms Foundation and the Maryland Port Administration.
Over the course of the program, interns will participate in habitat restoration projects, assist in monitoring of wildlife populations, and engage diverse audiences in hands-on environmental education programs.
Program dates are June 2018 - July 2018.
All applications are due by March 31, 2018.
Experience Required
Applicants must be college students (Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors) with a demonstrated interest in environmental conservation and/or wildlife biology. This is an interdisciplinary program. Students of all majors are encouraged to apply.
