EPA is hiring an ORISE intern.
ORISE is through the Department of Energy but interns get placed at a variety of federal departments and agencies. Though they’ll start off as an intern, with a little legwork many transition into full time positions. It’s great for someone who is interested in working for the federal government.
This particular position is a placement at EPA in the Office of Wastewater Management and very data driven, so a strong data background (experience with excel, oracle, access) is preferred, but not required. Also, water infrastructure related experience (drinking water/wastewater utilities, stormwater work, NPS programs) would also be great to have.
The position closes in March, but they’ll start reviewing resumes February 14th so any interested students can probably take that as an unofficial deadline. They are looking at undergrad all the way up to postdoc.
