Hourly student to support workshop planning and field visit
University of Maryland is co-organizing a workshop "Biomass Storage and Burial for Carbon Removal" with US Department of Energy, US Department of Agriculture/Forest Service, and University of California, to be held on Nov 15-17 in Washington DC. The technology of Wood Vault combines the power of natural photosynthesis with innovative engineering to sequester carbon to fight climate change.
We are looking for an hourly paid student (grad or undergrad) to support workshop planning and field visit. Tasks include:
- Communicating with the organizing committee and conference attendees
- Preparing information materials: brochures, short documents, handouts, etc.
- Planning and logistical support for a field trip on Day 3 of the workshop.
The work leading to the workshop has flexible hours for 2-5 hours a week. Preferred candidate should have great communication skill and attention to details. This would be a great experience in learning how to shape research direction and project planning.
