Schedule: Flexible between Monday - Friday; 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated student with marketing interests to join the Department of Environmental Science and Technology's Marketing Team as we grow our reach with an eye to student recruitment and department expertise in environmental solutions. The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in developing engaging and relevant content for digital platforms, including social media, news stories, and email correspondence
- Assist with our department's social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Support the promotion of departmental events like retreats, seminars, and Earth Day Celebration through various channels
- Conduct research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitor activities to provide insights that inform our marketing strategies and campaigns
- Apply new AI tools like ChatGPT to conduct market research and evaluation, and to foster the generation of relevant content and messaging
Qualifications:
- Interest and/or focus on marketing and/or mass communication
- Interest in developing promotional pieces, marketing projects, and sharing ideas
- Willingness to engage and interact with various contacts/stakeholders in person and through digital channels (i.e. alumni, students, ENST faculty, Marketing Committee)
- Good organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be reliable, professional, and able to work with and without supervision

The Marketing Assistant will have the opportunity to gain practical marketing experience while contributing to the success of our department's outreach efforts. You will play a role in supporting various marketing initiatives, promoting departmental events, connecting with alumni and enhancing the overall department brand presence and identity.
