The
study abroad program will be held at the University of Cape Coast, one of the
rare sea front universities in the world. This is an opportunity to learn
about the living conditions of a growing population, understand the interaction
of nutrition and food security with other sectors, explore policies and program
implementation, and apply their knowledge and new skills in designing nutrition
messages to promote health, appropriate for the local
community. Students will attend seminars by local
experts, university professors, and the program director. Visits will also be
made to ministerial departments, local NGOs, and agencies that deal with food
and nutrition security, markets, and local communities.
