Angler Environmental (Angler) is accepting applications for a summer intern with interest and curriculum focused on Natural Resource Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar field of study. The position being advertised is for our Warrenton, Virginia office. The desired candidate’s responsibilities would include, but are not limited to performing all aspects of fieldwork, office tasks, collecting and organizing data, and writing technical reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Superior writing, communication, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.) with attention to detail
• Ability to effectively focus on a variety of tasks to produce quality results and within deadlines
• Ability to travel occasionally to sites as needed. Overnight stays very occasionally are required.
• A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
• Acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the following:

• Ability to read and interpret soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, construction stormwater plans, and site restoration plans
• Curriculum experience with water resources engineering, floodplain analyses, hydraulic and hydrology investigation, as well as stream and wetland biological functionality.
• State and federal environmental regulations, permitting processes; Clean Water Act
• Fundamental understanding of wetland delineation, wetland assessments, wetland restoration design and construction
• Participating in a team environment effectively and efficiently

The preferred candidate will be in the process of obtaining a B.S. in an engineering or environmental science related field (such as but not limited to engineering, ecology, botany, geology, soils, etc.).
