Engineering Intern

Minimum Qualifications:
- Superior writing, communication, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.) with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively focus on a variety of tasks to produce quality results and within deadlines
- Ability to travel occasionally to sites as needed. Overnight stays very occasionally are required.
- A flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs
- Acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the following:
- Ability to read and interpret soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, construction stormwater plans, and site restoration plans
- Curriculum experience with water resources engineering, floodplain analyses, hydraulic and hydrology investigation, as well as stream and wetland biological functionality.
- State and federal environmental regulations, permitting processes; Clean Water Act
- Fundamental understanding of wetland delineation, wetland assessments, wetland restoration design and construction
- Participating in a team environment effectively and efficiently
The preferred candidate will be in the process of obtaining a B.S. in an engineering or environmental science related field (such as but not limited to engineering, ecology, botany, geology, soils, etc.).
