Description:
F&R is currently seeking a staff level Environmental Scientist for conducting environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
- Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s);
- Hazardous building materials surveys; and
- Other environmental projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental or other natural science or engineering degree.
- A minimum of two years of experience in environmental consulting, concentrating on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, including field investigation and report generation.
- Excellent research, writing, organizational, and language skills required.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to gather information from a variety of sources, and convey that information in reports.
- Willing to travel regionally (primarily daily trips), up to 75% of the time.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written.
- Must be able to successfully manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background. investigation, drug screening and driving record.
- Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites is required.
- Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill travel requirements of this position.
