Looking for an internship opportunity this summer and/or fall? Enjoy working outdoors and road trips? The UMD BATS (Bat Acoustic Traveling Study) Team is looking for summer research interns. Interns are trained on how to program bat detectors to record bat echolocation calls, how to gather tree and other environmental data, how to use a compass, and how to use a hand-held GPS. If you're available every Saturday (all day) of the summer (or fall) semester, then you should send in your resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts to Shannon Pederson at shannonp@umd.edu by May 7. Let me know if you are interested in earning ENST internship credit.
Students with cars are especially encouraged to apply. Gas money is reimbursed.
