Langan has an opening for an Environmental Scientist with Natural Resources / Wetlands focus with 1-5 years of related experience at our Bridgeport, WV office. The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude with a strong interest for working in the field and office. A strong technical background and education, professional demeanor, and the desire to learn is essential.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science / Resource Management, Environmental Planning, Natural Resources, Biology, Wetland Ecology or a related field;
- Experience with USACE, PADEP, OEPA and WVDEP regulations and permitting;
- Experience with conducting wetland and surface water delineations; wildlife studies; erosion and sedimentation control plans/inspections, preparing technical reports and permit applications; preparing figures, maps, and drawings;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
- Exceptional report writing, organizational, time management, and communication skills;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with GIS software;
- Ability to travel and work in both Bridgeport, WV and Canonsburg, PA office locations;
- Ability and interest in travelling overnight, when necessary; and,
- Availability to work overtime.
