Taking class at community college

Many of UMD's most challenging classes (orgo, calc, physics) may be taken at a community college if you get the College of AGNR's permission. These are the steps to ask for permission:

  1. Find an equivalent class by going to https://ntst.umd.edu/tce/inst-search.html?searchType=master > Search for your school's name > Click on the school > Find their course that is directly equivalent to UMD's > Verify the End Date has not passed/expired
  2. Ask Permission from our dean's office by going to https://agnr.umd.edu/students/permission-enroll-another-institution
  3. Seniors need to ask for a Policy Exception by going to http://agnrfacultystaff.umd.edu/pems_submit
  4. Take and pass your class! New policy - ENGL 101 needs to be a C+ or better!
  5. Ask your community college to send your transcripts to UMD, University of Maryland, Office of the Registrar, 1113 Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Building, College Park, MD 20742
