ECS seeks an entry-level environmental scientist for its Frederick, MD office! As an Environmental Scientist, you are smart, strong, and have a “roll up your sleeves” attitude towards your work. You have a passion for the environment and are extremely detail-oriented when conducting your evaluations and assessments. You have great communication skills and are easily able to interact with your team and clients. You are comfortable both out on the field as well as in the office setting writing reports. Duties:
- Environmental site assessments
- Groundwater and soil investigations
- Hydrogeologic studies
- Remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance
- Industrial hygiene services including asbestos, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality assessments
- Underground storage tank assessments
- Preparing reports and proposals, interfacing with clients, and project budget management
Qualifications:
- BS in Geology or a discipline related to Environmental Science
- 0-2 years of Geology, Environmental Engineering or related experience
- EIT or GIT license would go a long way
- Ability to lift 40-100 lbs.
