Fall Internships at the UMD Agroecology Lab

Are you passionate about the environment and sustainable agriculture?  Do you love being outside?  Are you interested in improving soil and water quality?

The Agroecology Lab at UMD is looking for several undergraduates who want to gain research experience in field and laboratory during the fall of 2018.  Our lab examines how to balance food and environmental objectives in a changing world.  We focus on the fate of nutrients in agricultural systems and their impact on natural systems.  This fall, we are looking for student interns interested in working on two Maryland-based projects investigating the impacts of sea-level rise on coastal farms and how cover crop mixtures can improve soil and water quality.

Qualifications:

  • Basic laboratory skills preferred
  • Students with a background in soils, sustainable agriculture, or agroecology are encouraged to apply.
