Student Technician: On-Campus Job (Part-Time)

Location:  Stamp Student Union

Description:  
The Stamp Technology Services Department has positions open for Student Technicians to assist with desktop support and audio/visual services. We are looking for students who can work independently or as part of a team and have a passion for technology. Students will be working with internal and external customers on an ongoing basis so professional communication is very important in this role. Students must be able to work daytime, evenings, and/or weekends, with a minimum requirement of 12 hours a week. This position will be active during semester breaks but work during this time is not required.

Pay:  $10.75/hour

Duties:
Answering questions, Assist with software problems, load paper into printers/copiers, Assisting customers, Computer literacy and ability to follow instructions, Some positions may include answering phones 

Qualifications:
Prior technical experience is not required but a candidate for employment should have an aptitude for technology, a desire to learn new skills, and be willing to invest in the outcome of our customer's event or program. Intermediate to advanced experience in either desktop support or audio visual systems is preferred but is not required.  Specifically, the Stamp IT Services department work includes installing software and hardware on computers systems, experience with computer/network performance and connectivity troubleshooting, virus repair, using Microsoft Office Suite programs, the operation of projection systems, video/camera equipment, and simple audio systems. Experience with advanced sound systems and sound boards is a plus. Students must also be able to work evening and/or weekend shifts. Being punctual, well organized, and a problem solver is mandatory for success in this position!
